  1. When will my order ship?

If received before 12:00 EST, most orders will ship that same day.

  2. Is there a minimum order?

Yes, the minimum order is $24.00

  3. Why are your plates not protected with a film when shipped?

Because Plaque-Mates plates are sublimated, placing a film on the plate could result in ghosting and thus clouding the image.

  4. Does Plaque-Mates have a catalog?

Yes. You can request one by emailing us through the Contact Us form on our website. You can also download a digital copy from our website. Look for the "Download Catalog (pdf)" in the shopping cart area.

  5. What are the recommended settings for laser engraving Plaque-Mates plates?

It is recommended that the same settings used for anodized aluminum or brass-plated steel would be used to engrave these plate.

  6. What process is recommended to rotary engrave these plates?

The best method used to engrave these plates are with a rotary diamond tool. A diamond drag tip can also be used, but the pressure typically needs to be increased to penetrate the top surface.

  7. When I use a diamond drag engraving method, the engraving is not consistent

Our recommendation if using a diamond drag method is to increase the force used to engrave the plate on your engraver. When that force is not enough, we suggest that you engrave that plate twice.

  8. Can I engrave a Plaque-Mate plate with a burnishing tool?

Because there is a coating on the aluminum that is used for our process, using a burnishing tool seems to "gum up" the aluminum and doesn't leave a nice finished look. We highly recommend using a rotating diamond tip

  9. How many plates are in a case?

Six (6) plates are in each case.

  10. Can I make a suggestion for a new design?

Sure. We are always looking for new ideas. Many of most recent suggestions have been recommendations by our customers. Just email us your suggestion.
